dc.description.abstract Big data, in the past few years, has attracted a lot of interest from both academics and professionals in the technology industry. Some called it a hype while others dug deep into the realm of binaries to understand and unfold the benefits associated with it. This study intended to gain insight into the workings of analytics and their impact on project success, under the influence of decision-making ability of the project managers. For this purpose, the data was collected from IT and Telecom organizations currently working with big data analytics that yielded adequate complete responses, which met the standard criteria for reliability and validity. Data analysis and bootstrapping methods were used to test the hypotheses through regression and moderation. The study empirically confirms the significant and positive impact of big data analytics on project success. It also reveals that some of these benefits are enhanced through informed decision-making ability of the project managers as the moderating effect of decision making was observed on the interaction between the predictor and specific outcome variables. The results provide evidence that in the contemporary age of technology, use of big data analytics definitely leads to improved performance and provides a competitive edge to the organization for continued success. en_US
