dc.description.abstract This research study investigates the impact of Ethical Leadership on Task Performance behavior of bank employees with mediating effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In this study a leadership style termed as Ethical Leadership has been explored with reference to its influence on employee task performance. In addition, mediating effects of CSR among the ethical leadership and employee task performance have been explored. The underlying mechanism used to explain the relationship between ethical leadership, employee task performance and CSR are transformation leadership theory, social exchange theory, social learning and social identity theory. Data has been collected through survey questionnaire. The sample consisted of 400 employees working in five top commercial banks of Pakistan where CSR is being practiced as an organizational policy. The responses from filled questionnaires were analyzed for the reaching out for the results. Data analysis was conducted by using SPSS-23 and Smart PLS-2 (SEM) models.The results reveal that a positive and significant relationship exists between ethical leadership and task performance. The CSR mediates the relationship between ethical leadership and task performance positively.These findings will provide important insights into why and when CSR and Ethical Leadership influence employee work behaviors en_US
