Abstract:
The increase in natural disaster not only in Pakistan but all over the world has demonstrated the importance of disaster management projects. Earthquake is common natural disaster. Regarding role stakeholder attributes, cultural aspect and stakeholder approaches there is little consensus. Local NGOs are important stakeholders in earthquake management projects. This study examines stakeholder attributes of power, legitimacy and urgency and cultural aspects of community leader, collective actions, network and Norms by focusing on earthquake projects handled by NGO's. Data was collected from project managers and the team members of listed local NGO's of Rawalpindi and Islamabad by using structured questionnaire. Results from 102 responses were analyzed by using statistical techniques. The result shows that the disaster recovery project performance increases with use of stakeholder attributes and cultural Aspects have greater influence in success of project success. The projects are about disaster recovery projects so by the use of reactive stakeholder approaches it impacts positively on the performance of disaster recovery project performance.
