Abstract:
Pakistan is a developing country and agriculture is a sector which plays an important role in Pakistan’s economy. The total GDP from agriculture which contributes towards the national economy is 19.5 % and with the contribution in the labor force of agriculture with employment rate of 42.3%. The CPEC is said to be the game changer of Pakistan and a good sign for the development of the country. With the passage of time the focus has shifted from agriculture sector to other sectors which are alarming regarding the agricultural yield. Due to global warming there is a shift in climate change of the world. The climate change is somehow a disadvantage for those nations which are agriculture based nations. The change in Climate has become an issue of major concern for those lands which totally depend upon rainfall. Farmers and landlords in agricultural land highly depend upon the prevalence of rainfall. Due to change in climate they face major socio-economic shift which needs to be addressed. The population of the country which has over the time increased has given rise to urbanization and for this reason the demand for agricultural goods has also increased. This research will be significant in studying the impact of climate change on the agricultural yield as the rainfall patterns are changing over the time. It is also important to know that how this change in climate affects the lives of the people who are dependent upon agriculture.
