| dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the structure using seismic interpretation of Missa Keswal area lying above soan syncline in North Potwar Deformed Zone, Upper Indus Basin, Pakistan. The major tectonic structures in the Eastern Potwar include anticlinal pop-up structures, synclines and overthrusted fault blocks. The overall stratigraphy in the Potwar sub-basin ranges between Pre-Cambrian to Pliestocene. The targeted Formations are of Eocene age. For structural enhancement, five migrated seismic lines, 994-GNA-09, 994-GNA-10, 994-GNA-14, 994-GNA-16 (dip lines) and 994-GNA-11 (Strike line) have been used. Time and depth contour maps of two Eocene horizons, Chorgali Formation and Sakesar Formation are generated which confirm the anticlinal pop-up structure in the sub-surface | en_US |
