dc.description.abstract | The visible light communication (VLC) is a new technology developed by the scientist's Dr Gordon Povey, Prof Harald Hass and Dr Mostafa Afghani. In this technology the data can be transmit the data through illumination at high speed. In this technology the communication will be point to point and VLC can be implemented using the LED bulbs. The photo-transistors on the receiver side for receiving the data which we send from transmitter. The phototransistor which we have used on receiving end is having a wavelength of 950nm which is a very high wavelength. We have used Max232 for the sending of data from computer. The computer is working on TTL logic and the other side we are working a digital logic having reference voltage at OV. In TTL we have negative reference. So that Max 232 works like a TTL to CMOS or CMOS to TTL converter circuit. We have used one transistor to invert the output of the sensor. We send the data on a baud rate of 9600 using visible light. The phototransistor receives the data at the same baud rate and displays it on serial terminal. We just care that the transmitter and receiver are placed in front of each other. | en_US |
