dc.description.abstract Literature reveals that job satisfaction is an extremely important and sensitive area that needs to be addressed by any organization, especially construction companies which are in pursuit of achieving effective outcomes out of every project they are doing. Employees are one of the most important resources for any kind of organization so they must be kept satisfied with their jobs if organizations want them to use their maximum capabilities in the favor of the company. In order to keep employees satisfied with their jobs, companies use different strategies, this study aims to address some of those important factors which are critical for any organization to increase the job satisfaction of their employees. There are three different factors which have been addressed in this study to examine their impact on job satisfaction, which are work environment, organization culture and transformational leadership. Findings indicate that work environment, organization culture and transformational leadership have positive and high impact on job satisfaction. Furthermore, findings suggest that construction companies must ensure a pleasant working environment, effective organization culture and transformational leadership in order to persuade their employees to perform better because these factors affect their job satisfaction in positive way. This research has implications for the future directions to identify the differences in findings between public and private sector construction companies to get wider perspective, between male and female employees to examine the gender biasness and to identify if this research is applicable to other industries as well by imitating this research in other industries. en_US
