Abstract:
The present study was conducted to explore the effects of miscarriage. The mam objective of the study were to identify the effect of miscarriage on autobiographical memory, psychological distress, and marital satisfaction. After detailed literature review it was hypothesized that miscarriage (number and trimester of miscarriage) will have statistical significant effect on autobiographical memory, marital satisfaction and psychological distress among women having experience of miscarriage. Depression Anxiety stress scale-21 by (Lovibond, 1995), Self-reported inventory of Autobiographical memory by (Sutin and Robins, 2007), and Relationship Assessment Scale by (Dicke & Hendrick, 1998) were used. For this purpose Sample of 150 was collected from different hospitals of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Analysis was conducted through Correlation and Covariance (ANOVA). Results demonstrated that there is positive relationship between miscarriage and autobiographical memory (p= .001) specifically in future memory. Moreover, there is a significance relationship between miscarriage and marital satisfaction (p=.001).
