Abstract:
The objective of the study is to evaluate reservoir properties of Dhulian-44 using well log data. Dhulian is located in the Central Potwar Zone and is a broadly east-west trending, doubly plunging anticline. The area is bounded by latitude of 33°12'41" and Longitude of 72°12'00”, lies in the eastern part of the sub basin of Potwar. Petrophysical analysis was carried out to evaluate reservoir properties. Petrophysical analysis includes raw log curves, calculation of volume of shale, volume of clean limestone, neutron and sonic porosity, resistivity of water and finally, saturation of water and hydrocarbon saturation in Lockhart Formation. Petrophysical results showed presence of one zone of interest in Lockhart Formation which ranges from 9190ft to 9290ft. the zone has 19.30 % volume of shale, Effective porosity is 11.70%, water saturation is 47.38% and hydrocarbon saturation is 52.62%.
