dc.description.abstract The research work aims to study and understand the structural framework and reservoir potential ofDhurnal area. The study is divided into two stages. First stage comprises of seismic interpretation of available seismic lines carried out by marking horizons, generating time maps. The interpretation confirms a pop up geometry between fore and back thrust bounded by a sole and roof thrust forming a passive roof duplex. The second stage comprises of Petrophysical analysis for determination of different quantities which include average porosity, effective porosity, saturation of hydrocarbon and saturation of water. One reservoir zone is marked based on the Petrophysical properties of the rock. The zone starts from 3896m-3900m and has an average hydrocarbon potential of 46.8% and water saturation of 46.8%. en_US
