| dc.description.abstract | used in road construction of CPEC route along Hakla to Pind Gheb, Punjab, Pakistan. As per project specifications, test pits were excavated along the proposed road alignment. Sieve analysis, Atterberg limits ,Modified proctor test, California Bearing Ratio, Specific gravity test, Sand Equivalent test and Bitumen Extraction tests that have performed. Sub grade material falls in class A-2-6 of AASHTO classification. The liquid limit of sub grade material for soil testing is 24% while, Plastic limit is 10.05%. The Plasticity Index (PI) is 13.9 % while above layers are non-plastic. The maximum dry density for sub grade is 2.017 gm/cc at moister content 9.0%. Using lab density complete value was calculated for sub grade to be 7.5%. The specific gravity for oven dry sample is 2.763.The water absorption was 1.267%. The Sand Equivalent test shows the specific limit 75% Min for fine sand and 45% for coarse aggregate. The Bitumen by weight of 3.48% and the compaction of Asphalt is 96%. | en_US |
