Abstract:
Reverse Logistics processes has become a hot topic because of its significance in generating
monetary benefits and also in lessening wastages and pollution from the environment. But still we
know very little about reverse logistics processes. And also about the drivers and variables that
encourages the industry to initiate reverse logistics activities.
Restoration of returnable or damage material, goods, wastage produces during and after production
etc. are the main and foremost objectives of Reverse Logistics. Social, economic and
environmental bottom lines are included in the framework of triple bottom line. For attaining
sustainability in the business, for playing its role in the development of society and for taking part
in the protection of environment industry need to follow triple bottom line framework it also
provoke the way for adoption of reverse logistics practices.
In this research we are going to check the impact of industries triple bottom line activities on
logistics adoption especially in pharmaceutical industries operated in Pakistan. Data were
collected through survey questionnaire and this data was used to study the effects of triple bottom
line on reverse logistics adoption. Regression technique was used and the results indicate that
Social, Economic and Environmental triple bottom line has a significant and positive effect on the
level of reverse logistics adoption.
