dc.description.abstract The study comprises of two parts i.e. fracture analysis and engineering properties of Sakesar Limestone. Sakesar Limestone of eastern Salt Range was selected for both parts of study, located in Choa Saidan Shah area, Chakwal. Fracture analysis was done by Monte-Carlo circle method and laboratory tests were done by collecting samples and then testing the samples in laboratories of UET, Peshawar. Fracture analysis indicates orientation of fractures and also porosity, permeability was calculated by this method. Fracture orientation also helped in determining the stress directions. Engineering properties were characterized on the basis of results derived from Uniaxial Compression Stress test, Los Angeles test and Schmidt rebound hammer test after performing in laboratory. Also some results were calculated indirectly from previous mentioned tests and used in classifying the samples according to standards of ASTM. Further applications of Sakesar Limestone for different purposes are also suggested on basis of results. en_US
