Abstract:
Supply chain management as a notion is getting very popular in this era as compared to the beginning stage of the idea. It has become a competitive edge for few businesses. It has changed our way of thinking that how its adoption can best serve the market and a slight negligence, can cause damage or make the firm lose its competitive edge in highly volatile competition. Hence, one must give proper attention and give strong argument for what has now become a platitude. It should be revised and reevaluated once again because of the rapid change in the business operations or because of the volatility in the business operations, nothing has remained stable (Martin Christopher M. H, 2011). Customers are creating the pressure on firms for efficient and effective supply of product; a single delay in any part throughout the chain would end up by losing their customer. As stated by Svensson (2002), supply chain disturbance is a disordered event that will directly have impact the flow of materials and information in the firm. It would create such a disturbance that it would consider the whole organization. To avoid this thing organization should be proactive enough and should keep eye on the upcoming change in market and act accordingly.
