A study on production, inventory control, Procurement, distribution and their Interrelationship on interwood mobel pvt. Ltd

Abstract

This project is an effort put up by our team to examine the gaps between interrelated departments at Interwood Mobel Pvt. Ltd and finding out the room for improvement in their supply chain department that can reduce the lead time and to provide tracking system from inventory storage to customer end delivery, also implementation of System Application and Product (SAP) at their production level where customer will be able to track their items at Interwood Mobel Pvt. Ltd factory. In this project, we will also discuss the communication gap and lack of skill set at factory level that is causing delays in production and order management process. The project gives you the review of relevant literature that includes world-class furniture manufacturing, implementation of System Application and Product (SAP) at production and interrelated departments and various reason for implementation of tracking system at Interwood Mobel Pvt.. Ltd, also identify to reduced lead time of production as this issue is causing effects in sales. In this study we have provided solutions of the problem faced by the organization and more study during the changes in the organization problem faced during the change and more finding can be identified by research and semistructured interview and questionnaire. At the end of the project, the change occurred in the organization in the form of implementation which was analyzed and recommendations were given.
