dc.description.abstract | Structural analysis and petrophysical analysis has been done using the 2D seismic data and the wireline log data of Kabirwala area, Central Indus Basin Pakistan. Bahria University and Directorate General of Petroleum Concession (DGPC) provided 2D seismic reflection data and the well logs of well Nandpur-02 that was required for conducting this research. The Kabirwala area lies in the, Central Indus Basin which is bounded by Sulaiman Depression on the east, Sargodha high on north and Jaccobabad high in the south. The Punjab Platform dips westwards towards into the Sulaiman Fore-deep. Present study area is Nandpur 02 Gas field which is situated at a distance of 64 kms near District Multan. The field was discovered in 1983 by OGDCL. For structural enhancement, four seismic migrated lines i.e. 845-KBR-38, 845-KBR-39, 845-KBR-42 and 845-KBR-43 were used. Time and Depth contour maps of the four horizons, Dunghan, Samana Suk, Datta and Lamshiwal formation were generated that identifies the structure of the area is monocline. Petrophysical analysis of the well Nandpur-02 has also been done. | en_US |
