| dc.description.abstract | The Kadanwari area is concentrated on with the assistance of the 2-D seismic and petrophysical analysis. For this purpose five seismic lines have been obtained from the LMKR by the permission of DGPC. The data acquired consists of four dip lines and one strike lines. The well log data was also obtained for the petrophysical analysis. In the seismic data interpretation the horizons were marked and faults were identified on the formation tops which are named as Habib Rahi, Sui Main Limestone and Lower Goru Formation. The velocity and depth contour maps were generated which delineated the subsurface structures of the study area. Well log examination was performed out on Kadanwari-01 well for the distinguishing proof of potential hydrocarbons bearing zone. The volume of shale, and porosities, for example, sonic, neutron and density were ascertained. The saturation of hydrocarbons and water was observed and on the premise of this investigation probable zone of interest was distinguished in the Lower Goru Formation. By the aid of seismic interpretation the reflector were identified as Habib Rahi Formation, Sui Main Limestone Formation and Lower Goru Formation it was then cross checked with the petrophysical analysis and the same result was concluded. | en_US |
