| dc.description.abstract | To develop an understanding the structural analysis and correlation of seismic data that was re-interpreted with the well data understandable for the confirmation of seismic structural interpretation of Badin area, Lower Indus Basin. 2D seismic reflection data that was required for our research was provided by the Directorate General of Petroleum Concession (DGPC). Structural analysis revealed the trend of deformation through time and trapping mechanism that has been proven prospective. Leads other than the prospect zone were also marked. Horst-type structural traps were found. Three horizons have been marked, as all the faults are originated from source below Lower Goru Formation and terminate below Lower Ranikot Formation because below Ranikot Formation, Khadro Formation is present and it is basaltic. Lower Goru Formation is reservoir in this area so it is also marked to understand the already producing well’s geometry. | en_US |
