| dc.description.abstract | This research attempts to focus on Shanghai Cooperation Organization and how the organization has evolved since its inception. The organization originated as a result of border tensions but soon enough it became the most comprehensive organization from the region which began hindering the U.S. influence in the region and making its involvement obvious in The New Great Game. The big question still remains whether the members would compromise enough for the cohesiveness of the organization. Nevertheless, the organization in onto spreading its hands as membership of Pakistan and India has been approved and Iran also has its chances. Considering the fact that the global environment is getting unsuitable for a unipolar structure, interdependence is increasing which brings the possibility of cooperation between U.S. and SCO which would come with its risks as states primarily pursue their national interests. Since the policies in the international political arena are still dominated by the west, therefore it is hard to say that SCO would have a steady growth as its consistence success would lay the foundation for a multipolar world. | en_US |
