dc.description.abstract The migrant crisis in the European Union which is being perceived as a humanitarian crisis globally has rather become a ‘securitization’ issue for the European community. In other words, the European Union segregates the Europeans and the migrants as ‘us’ and ‘them’, thereby the European Crisis is equated with an identity politics whereby migrants are held responsible for security issues of the European community and hence neglecting the emergence of severe humanitarian crisis. en_US
