Abstract:
This article characterizes the impacts of a magnetic dipole in a second grade ferro uid induced by linear stretching sheet. The analysis is disclosed by thermally strati ed phenomenon and stagnation point. The characteristic of magneto-thermomechanical cou- pling is scrutinized analytically. It is distinguished that thermal strati cation has signi cant impacts in controlling the rate of heat transfer inside the boundary layer. Further, the effects of magneto-thermomechanical interaction decelerate the motion of the uid as compared to the hydrodynamic case, thereby enhancing the skin friction and decreasing the heat transfer rate at the surface. Comparison with available results for particular cases is determined a superb agreement.
