dc.description.abstract 21st Century brings forth intricate issues for humanity specifically pertaining to gender and their social, economic and political interaction with each other. With rampant globalization and mass media exposure gender roles in the eastern societies such as Pakistan have been questioned and pondered upon. Decision making is an instrumental domain where gender roles are immensely exercised keeping in view traditional gender roles. This research specifically delves into the decision making autonomy of women with regard to their education and career choices in the context of Pakistani society. With soaring mass media exposure and awareness, women education and career opportunities are growing globally. However, this research will seek to understand the decision making autonomy of women in the educated urban setting of Pakistan. Furthermore, factors influencing women decision making autonomy pertaining to their education and career choice will be studied in the context of Pakistan’s patriarchal society. en_US
