Abstract:
Wireless sensor nodes have been deployed in the fields for sensing and monitoring the surrounding environment for the specific purpose. Deployment of sensors in the field is more challenging due to area coverage for monitoring. One of the deployment method is random distribution of sensor nodes, which leads to make various coverage holes in the network and disturb the network data communication. The coverage holes issues are one of the significant research area in wireless senor networks. In literature, mainly three different types of approaches have proposed to address the coverage area issues in the network including distributed, centralized and hybrid approaches. However, these approaches have their own limitations in terms of consuming more energy and utilizing more computational power. In order to overcome these coverage holes in network, we present an intelligent hybrid approach for sensor deployment in the field and enhances the coverage area for sensor deployment. The proposed approach is evaluated in simulation where results show better performance of proposed approach and cover the area and enhance the convergence rate.
