Movie Flux : Social Network Based Recommendation App (P-0614) (MFN 5607)

Abstract

Our project titled, as “Movie Flux - A Social Network Based Recommendation App” is an Android Application. Our primary purpose is to provide ease for the user to get movies recommendation based on his/her interests. The application is designed and developed keeping in view that it should be user-friendly. The application is straightforward and free to use. The interface of the application is designed. Keep in mind, at first glance; it would be easy enough to understand, attract and self-explanatory. There is a variety of the recommender system in the marketplace, but there is a lack of rating in user demand and recommendations through a social network of people. The purpose of the app is to pick up the appropriate interest of the user and give him/her to the desired movie that meets their interests. Also, the user can add or remove other users in its friend’s circle. And those friends can also recommend movies to each other. The system will fetch the user interest in the particular type of movies and take the related movies and recommend to them, and they can enjoy.
