dc.description.abstract | The project under consideration is an online shopping website for clothing that allow users to customize traditional female apparel such as kameez and frocks by selecting from a number of customization options and viewing them on a 3D model. Apparel custornization allows customers to freely choose between range of options without being limited by only available stock in traditional brick stores. Shopping for clothes in a brick store allows the consumer to touch and feel the products. The premise, however, is that the customer has in mind is a certain color, style, or fabric which may not be available always. Searching for it is also time consuming. Ordering the item custom made has traditionally been an option only for bespoke and couture customers, and all other options for online tailors are for western clothing. Creating individualized patterns can be time-consuming and expensive. Some customers can hop a car drive to an elite tailoring store and have custom clothing made for a party. However, everyone can not go there. Some women are very choosy that either the style or the print does not match with the dress which they have planned for. With this scenario, rises the need to have a complete dressing solution that meets the requirements of an abstract female consumer of traditional dresses. The style color or print can be selected and ordered. The custom design can then be viewed in a 3D environment in a Unity interface. Customers can also post their designs to allow other customers to view and order them. | en_US |
