dc.description.abstract The following project is an Android application that allows the users to experience story reading in a completely different way. Generally, stories were read and as technology flourished stories were listened in the form of e-books.Kahaan-E not only narrates the story but augments a 3D Visualization of the scene under narration that helps the user not only listen to the story but to actually feel like being a part of it.Kahaan-E focuses on the childhood stories that are a very esteemed part of the Pakistani society and almost every child that has been brought up in Pakistan has heard and has certain memories related to those stories; which is why Kahaan-E visualizes and narrates stories in Urdu. Kahaan-E focuses on the betterment of Urdu language by enhancing the interest of our little readers, who only tend to read Urdu as a subject and not take much interest in reading Urdu as they rather find it difficult developing their interest in the language. This is the reason for the downfall of Urdu language in young readers; they find reading English much more attractive and stick to English stories. Kabaan-E focuses on the 3D visualization of scenes, for the readers to experience the entire story in a different dimension and to be visually aided in terms of understanding the story and getting familiar with different words. The proposed project is potentially intended to provide kids (ages 6 - 10 yrs.) with a new and innovative way to relive their childhood stories in their mother tongue and be able to grasp the language itself; which for some reason has not been that influential for the new generations. en_US
