dc.description.abstract The present study comprises of 2D seismic interpretation and petrophysical analysis to demarcate the subsurface structures and assessment of the hydrocarbon potential of Qazian area, Upper Indus Basin, Pakistan. The provided data comprised of five seismic lines which includes both dip and strike lines. Six reflectors representing Kamlial, Murree, Sakesar, Chorgali, Nammal and Salt Range formations were marked on basis of provided well data. The interpreted structure was a NE-SW trending pop-up anticline bounded with two NW dipping major thrust faults. and one minor SE trending back thrust fault. Time and depth contour maps were also constructed to determine the extension of the pop-up structure and thrust faults in the entire study area. Additionally, petrophysical analysis was performed on Qazian X-01 :well log data. The analysis indicated a presence of prospective zone in Sakesar Limestone in which saturation of hydrocarbon were about 18.25% en_US
