dc.description.abstract The objective of study was to interpret the hydrocarbon potential in Zamzama 02 and Zamzama 03 by evaluating well log data. Zamzama block lies in Dadu District, Sindh. The area has been identified as compressional regime and is characterized by Kirther Fold Belt.Well data of Zamzama block was used for Petrophysical analysis of the study area. Two zones were marked in each well in the Pab Sandstone. Petrophysical parameters revealed Pab Sandstone of Upper Cretaceous age acts as primary reservoir with in the area. The zones of interest were marked in both wells i.e. Zamzama-02 and Zamzama-03 and then shale volume, porosity, saturation of water and saturation of hydrocarbon were calculated in these zones. Average saturation of hydrocarbon in the zones of interest in Zamzama-02 is 72.16% & 74.98% while in Zamzama-03 is 80.21% and 87.42% respectively. The zones marked data shows very good to fair hydrocarbon potential on the basis of evaluated clay volume, porosity and saturation component. en_US
