dc.description.abstract The purpose for undertaking this study was to identifying the challenges and issues in lOT adoption in Healthcares Sector. Considering the need to changing technological evolutions it is eminent to adopt for the changing and improving technologies in order to provide best possible healthcare to the patients. To understand the issues Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) was used to identify these challenges and issues. This research was conducted using quantitative research methodology in which published UTAUT questionnaire was used. A sample of 250 was collected from 5 government sector hospitals. Data was collected from nurses, IT staff, psysichains, doctors and other hospital staff to study the various dynamics of IT in the healthcare sector. In this research effects of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions were computed on behavior intentions of the users for acceptance of new technology in Pakistan. Analysis was conducted using SPSS software and tests of reliability, Pearson correlation and ordinary least square regression and moderation tests were performed to find the impacts. Our results suggest that the quality and performance of technology helps medical institutions achieve their usefulness. Hence it is important that hospital employ technology of the sort which provides good quality through service and information technology which can perform data processing as well. en_US
