dc.description.abstract This study is focused mainly on identifying the impact of use of social media on the construction of falsehood identity. This study has targeted the students of Bahria University Islamabad for exploring the extent to which social media is used by the students and the role that social media plays in transforming their actual identities and constructing falsehood or fake identity for the social world. “Social media and its use” has been considered as an independent variable whereas “construction of falsehood identity” has been recognized as a dependent variable. A structured questionnaire is used to conduct the survey from students of Bahria University Islamabad in order to explore the influential relationship between use of social media and construction of falsehood identity. Statistical instrument used primarily for analyzing the influential relationship between these variables has been correlation. Bar diagram has been used to explain the findings and responses provided by the respondents (Bahrian Students) during conducted survey. SPSS software has helped in analyzing the collected data and measuring impact that use of social media has over the transformation in concept of identity and self. Data analysis and findings have revealed that use of social media has significant impact on the construction of falsehood identity. en_US
