Abstract:
One of the major problems that are being faced by Pakistan is environmental degradation which is occurring at a massive level now. The research study takes into account the issues and problems that arise as a result of seasonal migration leading to increased construction in the Murree area. There are a number of issues and problem such as deforestation, shortage of essential resources like water, food etc., land sliding that are arising as a result of these interventions being made in the region. Purpose random sampling has been used in the research conducted in one village of tehsil Murree. The research method that has been used for the conduction of data is qualitative research. The results of the research show that due to mass construction as well as deforestation, the environment of Murree is being affected at an adverse rate. Several social issues are also arising in the region due to the interventions of the immigrants as stated by the locals. The locals of the area are not only having problems with the shortage of resources, but a significant impact is also occurring on their overall cultural stability and integrity. The environment of the area is also being affected in the most adverse manner causing major issues for the whole population. There are ways through which this issue can be resolved by building environmentally sustainable recreational centres for the immigrants where they can better spend their time without affecting the lives, culture and environment of the region,
