dc.description.abstract An important aspect of project management is agile success which addresses all failed methodologies and practices that were followed earlier for a successful project and gives them a new and an effective direction. Agile approach is considered by many, as the finest and best approach that should be followed but it lacks the empirical evidence and many unhidden aspects that are related to this methodology. This thesis consists of research that is conducted in order to analyze the impact of Traditional & Agile project management approach on the success of each project and with complexity of the project acting as a moderator in the following study. This specific research was carried out so that we could investigate the Traditional and Agile mechanism implementation and its usage which was followed by a software industries running in Pakistan. The results showed that both the approaches have a significant impact on the success of the project with complexity of project acting as a moderator on their relationship. It is concluded from the proposed study that complexity of a project has a negative relation with project success in case of Traditional project management approach but in case of Agile project management project complexity does not impact as much as in traditional project management. This survey also reveals that the increase in software productivity, managing change and the release of quality product with in the schedule are some of the major benefits of the agile methodology. This thesis presents this along with other findings accompanied by relevant data. en_US
