dc.description.abstract Our project deals with the calculation of three phase electricity tariff as our project title shows. Actually we always wonder how much electricity we have consumed and what are their cost but we cannot know it until at the end of month we get our electricity bill. The problem is if we know how much electricity we are consuming and consequently how much money we have to pay for the consumed units we can be more careful in using electricity which is good in many aspects and this is very good for our country as we are facing energy crisis and if people start using electricity carefully we will be able to save hundreds of megawatts. Also there is a commercial potential in this device as we can commercialize it by telling people how they can save money, how easily they can know their electric consumed units of every day using their androids. So that's why we started our project to solve these problems keeping in mind that we can commercialize it by ourselves. In this project we will be able to use this device for three phase electric connections. Actually we are using current transformer and the potential transformer for this purpose. The current transformer is used for current measuring and potential transformer is used for voltage measuring. We will use three current transfonners(CT) and three potential transformers(PT), each for a single wire of a three phase connection. Then these transformers feed the data or measured values in the microcontroller their we will process the data like we will find out the power factor and we will find the power by the measured voltage and current then we will convert this power into watt-hour then into kilo watt-hour then we multiply it with the units cost to find out the tariff. After that microcontroller will give the data to the Wi-Fi module which will transmit the data to the android. In the android consumer will easily see its consumed units and their cost by the android application. Also we will show the real time waves of the current and voltage in . the android app. en_US
