| dc.description.abstract | The monitoring of environment parameters is a foundational element of many processes and provides the baseline for managing the desired product under different environmental conditions. PLC and SCADA based Environmental Control System is a project capable of demonstrating and controlling the environmental parameters for different industries that include agricultural, defense, space, medical and other manufacturing industries. The focus of the stated project is the inside part of a closed environment, by supervising and acquiring the data (feedback) of parameters i.e. Humidity, Temperature, Air Flow and Timing Schedule. The deliverables of the fmished project i.e. a PLC based environmental controller with SCADA gathers information about the environmental parameters through various sensors and automatically generates commands for actuators according to that desired environment. The finished product can easily be integrated with the old systems. In this project a PLC based environmental controller with SCADA supervises and manages environmental parameters in a box of certain dimensions made up of acrylic sheet. Temperature is increased by using the heater and heating fan and is decreased by air flow through cooling fan. Specifically this project has implemented the concept of the feedback control system using PLC and supervised through SCADA. Different types of controllers have been implemented and the response of each has been discussed. This project helps in understanding the feedback control through PLC and supervision and control through SCADA. | en_US |
