| dc.description.abstract | A number of automated home security systems have been developed to avoid intrusions that are increasing at higher rate. These systems include automated finger print scanner or keypad lock but are extremely expensive and out of the reach for middle class. The proposed system, does not require the replacement of existing lock or door, it is compatible with the present door lock. It includes a secondary lock that sends alerts through GSM module and is activated in case of intrusion. This system improves home security as it includes double lock system where the secondary lock is installed inside the door and is operated in case of intrusion and GSM module sends the alerts to the owner with the help of inputs from the stress-sensors. It also includes a panic switch for manual operation of the device. It operates on the basis of master-slave Bluetooth communication. Master Bluetooth module is connected with the panic switch while the slave Bluetooth module is attached with the main device.
