dc.description.abstract This project was conceived by keeping in mind the goal of designing an android application to bring digital image steganography to a mobile phone setting, Steganography is the art of concealing information inside any medium in an undetectable manner, it has been in use since centuries in the form of encrypting writing often carrying two messages, its modem form is called digital image steganography which is the process of concealing secret text messages or an entire digital image inside another digital image, this is another approach to encryption since the image being hidden can only be viewed if the person has the password for decrypting the image and seeing what's actually hidden inside the visible image. After performing the said encryption, the encrypted picture gets saved automatically in the phone's gallery. Users can send the encrypted picture to anyone they want using any direct messaging app, but to open the encrypted image and see the real hidden image inside the cover image, the user must have the app installed on their phone and click on the uncover image option and after that the application will display the hidden image. This app is the first of its kind on a mobile phone setting. This project was kept in mind to achieve an offline hard to decrypt encrypting technique so consumers can hide their data in plain sight without having to worry about some unwanted eyes prying on precious data. en_US
