| dc.description.abstract | Lawyer is a profession in which one advises and represent others in legal matters. There are many problems which have legal dimension and require a lawyer's help. Mostly it is seen if someone wants to get any information related to their problem, lawyer consultancy is required. This process is cumbersome as for even simple problems one have to go to the lawyer. But even if they don't and seek the help from the Internet it still is very difficult for a layman to get the proper laws related to their issue. Virtual Legal Assistant is a web based application that will help the users most importantly layman to access the laws related to their problem just by entering it into the system. In our view it must be easy for a common person to get to know the laws related to their issues and in this way they can get them without even going to the lawyer. The main purpose ofthe project is to build support system that will provide the quick information anytime anywhere. It will assist law students, legal researchers, practicing lawyer and layman to access the laws of the land. The artificial intelligence techniques used in this project are searching and matching and platform is Eclipse. | en_US |
