dc.description.abstract The purpose of this research was to analyze the effects of three different types of workplace humor (i.e. liberating, stress-relieving and controlling humor) on organizational creativity. The approach of the research was deductive and was causal by type in order to identify the effect of independent variables in dependent variable. The design of the study was explanatory and was quantitative in nature to identify the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables based on a sample derived from Food and Beverage industry. The research instrument of the study was self-administered questionnaire based on a 7-point likert scale. The study proves that workplace humor has both positive and negative effects on organizational creativity depending on the type of humor used. This study is limited to one industry being the source of data collection and it would be hard to derive a general judgment as the sample is collected from three organizations located in one city of Pakistan. It is recommended understand the importance and role of humor in the workplace with other different types of humor and their effect on organizational creativity. en_US
