| dc.description.abstract | Android application for a University Library is a mobile application which is used to access library, providing a full range of facilities and services that include multiple tasks performed by the user and admin. It overcomes the dependency of faculty and students on library staff and existing system. Serial system and unique ID for each user is implemented. Android library application is basically, a fully authenticated system. The main achievements of Android library application project include that it provides ease of access to faculty members and students, from anywhere when needed and in anytime. The other major purpose is to implement the reservation system into the application of University library. The students and faculty can access and reserve the desired books by checking their availability status through logging-in into the Android library application, by providing their credential. Their reservation remains in the system’s record for two hours and user have to visit the library with in the mentioned time period. Reservation request will be approved by the admin on visit of student and filling the required details following library’s proper procedure. In other case, the admin has authority to cancel the request after the end of specific time period, through admin panel. User interface of Android library application is kept adaptable. | en_US |
