Abstract:
Forgiveness and gratitude represent positive psychological responses to interpersonal harms and
benefits that individuals have experienced. The present study aimed to see the effectiveness of
positive psychology by getting a deeper understanding of gratitude and forgiveness. It was hypothesized that he Positive Psychological interventions will enhance the welling of adolescent, and adolescent who exposed to Positive Psychology interventions will show improvement in psychological wellbeing as compared to control group. A total sample of 24 participants, both males and females, between the ages of 17 to 19 years were taken. Participants divided into two groups of 12 each, for two different intervention groups. The pre intervention and post- intervention forgiveness and gratitude levels were measured using Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS) and Gratitude Assessment (GQ-6). These tests were conducted to identify the efficacy of the interventions. Independent samples T -test and paired samples T-test were used to test the hypotheses for between and within group comparison. Hypothesis one shows the significant difference of the Psychological well beings of adolescent after using pre-and post, Positive Psychological intervention (forgiveness and gratitude). Hypothesis two independent samples statistics of experimental and control group of HFS and GQ-6after intervention. Results on the scale of HFS indicated that the score of experimental group after intervention was significance (M=83.00, SD=10.17), as compared to the scores of controls group (M=76.08, were SD=20.15) T (22) = 2.92 p<0.05. Results on the scale of GQ-6 indicated that the score of experimental group after intervention was significant (M=31.83, SD=3.6), as compared to the scores of control group (M=26.16, SD=5.27)
