dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to examine hypothesized that cigarette smokers would be the cigarette smoking in impulsive individuals. It was more impulsive as compared to non-smokers. The sample was chosen using purposive sampling from the Bahria University, Karachi Campus. A sample of 98 participants assessed and it comprised of only males (n=49) smokers and (n=49) non-smokers. The age group of participants ranged from 17 to 25 years and they belonged to socioeconomic was strata ranging from middle class to upper-middle class. Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-11 (Barratt, 2009),a 30 item self-report questionnaire the impulsivity rate among the smokers and non-smoker. The results was administered to examine were analyzed by using Independent t-test. The results revealed significant difference in the impulsivity between cigarette smokers and non cigarette smokers (t= 18.245, p<0.05).1 en_US
