dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to determine the gender differences in love typology among married couples. It was hypothesized that there will be significant difference in love typology between males and females and in arranged, love and semi love marriages. Sample of married couples (iV=140), married from first two to more than ten years with age range varying from 18 to 60 years (M= 34.53, SD= 10.55) was taken using convenience and snowballing sampling technique. Love Attitudes Scale: Short Form (Hendrick, Hendrick & Dick, 1998) was used to assess the love typology among participant couples. Independent t-test and one-way ANOVA were used to determine the significant differences between variable. The results showed that there were no significant differences in neither gender or in arranged, love and semi love marriages in love typology, however, significant differences existed in socio-economic class (p=.017), marriage duration (p=017'), education (p=.000) and family structure (p=023). It is concluded that the difference in the love typology may not exist irrespective of gender and the type of marriage the couple has married. The limitations and the implications of the study has been discussed. en_US
