Abstract:
The aim of the study was to investigate the father-daughter secure attachment and its effect on daughters personal growth. Fifty undergraduate female participants from BUKC and KMDC completed questionnaire regarding attachment with their father as well as their personal growth. Using IPPA-R female students were asked to rate their attachment with father on a five point likert scale while on Ryff Scale of Wellbeing they were asked to rate themselves on a scale from 1 to 6. Results showed that among components of secure attachment (i.e. alienation, communication and trust) alienation (0.014) showed significant effect on daughters personal growth as compared to trust (0.063) and communication (0.055).
