| dc.description.abstract | Most battery chargers available today simply charge one kind of battery. Usually, there are different kinds of batteries being used. The most known kinds of battery are Nickel Metal Hydride, Nickel-Cadmium, lead acid, and Lithium-Ion. So we have cluster of chargers at our house to charge different devices. Like for mobile phone we have different charger similarly for a laptop we have a different charger. Our goal is to develop such a circuit that can give us different values of voltages and current with a specific end goal to charge different/multiple batteries. For this we use ATMEGA 328 microcontroller which controls the required voltage and current level which are needed by multiple kind of batteries. In the end we make our product which can charge different batteries like lead acid, mobile phone battery or a laptop battery. In universal battery charger all these different kind of batteries with different kind of mechanism charge by using single product. This product consists of diodes, resistors, inductors and MOSFET. Buck converter which is used to step down DC voltage which is done by microcontroller ATMEGA 328 which we program in such a way that it maintain voltage and current level according to battery type which are set before charging the battery .Microcontroller give PWM to buck controller which control voltage and control level which we needed at the end of battery output. The voltage and current level required for battery charging are selected through an input LCD interface. Instead of keys we used touch LCD to make it more user friendly | en_US |
