dc.description.abstract This study aims to explore the effect of religious coping on quality of life in Parkinson’s patients. It was hypothesized as that there will be significant impact of religious coping quality of life in Parkinson’s patients. A sample of 10 diagnosed Parkinson’s patients was drawn through purposive sampling from different hospitals of Karachi, Pakistan. The sample comprised of both male and female with ages ranging between 30-80 years. They were surveyed using Pakistani Religious Coping Practices Scale (Khan & Watson, 2006) and The World Health Organization Quality of Life - BREF (World Health Organization, 2006), Urdu version for testing the hypothesis. SPSS-22 was used to compute the results and analysis was done using independent sample t-test. Analysis revealed religious coping has no significant impact on domains of quality of life in Parkinson’s patients. Other coping strategies that might be effective for Parkinson’s patients are discussed. Limitations and suggestions for future studies are also mentioned en_US
