dc.description.abstract | The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between self esteem and marital satisfaction in married individuals of Pakistani population. It was hypothesized that there will be a significant relationship between self-esteem and marital satisfaction . Research sample comprised of 100 participants (44 males and 56 females ) who were required to be married for at least 3 years and have at least 1 child. The participants were recruited through convenient sampling. The level of marital satisfaction was measured by using marital satisfaction scale (MSS) (Ayyub, 2010) with 33 items classified into 11 subscales while the level of sub esteem was measured through Rosenberg Self-Esteem with 10 items. The collected data was analyzed using inferential statistical method. Pearson products correlation conducted on SPSS displayed that there is no significance relationship (p>0.01) between self-esteem and marital satisfaction . Implications and suggestion for future empirical exploration of the constructs are also discussed. | en_US |
