Abstract:
The purpose of the present research was to study subjective wellbeing of working and working women. For this purpose, the data was collected from 200 women participants (N=200) of Karachi. The participants approached for the study consisted of 100 working and 100 non-working women between the age ranges of 20-40 years. The minimum education level of participants was intermediate (12 years of education). It was hypothesized that there will be a significant difference in the Subjective well-being of working and non-working The data was collected by using survey method and convenient sampling technique. The questionnaires were administered individually to the participants. These included consent form, a demographic form, Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and Scale of Positive and Negative Experiences (SPANE). The data was analyzed by using SPSS. The findings of the study indicate that working women had a higher subjective well-being as compared to non-working women. The limitations and the recommendations of the present study have also been discussed.
