dc.description.abstract | The current traffic challan system is lacking in providing basic deliverables which causes the general public to suffer at the hands of the traffic warden. Corruption carried out by the traffic personals is the most reported issue by the general public. Meanwhile, other people are facing problems in challan payment and receiving its receipts, might be due to visiting from different cities or off hours of relevant bank. This becomes more hectic for the traffic personnel to handle when traffic population increases. There comes a need to automate this system to eliminate manual work and person’s efforts for paying their challan. Our proposed Biometric System overcomes the aforementioned problems and presenting a optimised solution in the form of automated challan payment system based on person’s biometric trait. This system provides different challan payment methods to public for its submission and online database to overcome corruption. This is done by an android application on traffic violation, the defaulters fingerprint input will be scanned and verified. The verified information is shown to the traffic personal. After verification, challan is selected from the given list and remarks are added in case of any anomalies regarding violation. The database shows the previous record of the defaulter and fine is added accordingly for regular defaulters. For challan submission on spot payment is used. In case of non-payment on spot, thermal printer is used to generate receipt. The whole system uses an updated database. After every challan, the database is updated and maintained | en_US |
