dc.description.abstract It is without any ambiguity that teachers have always played a vital role in an individual’s life. They have a strong impact on the students especially who spend more time under their supervision. This shapes their personality and they tend to become the person they are meant to be. Along with that, academic institutions like schools, colleges and universities prepare their students for future endeavors and enable them to explore their core capabilities and skills. It is during this time that individuals get to have huge exposure and experience learning of a lifetime. Following that, this research study is fundamentally based upon teachers’ learning within an organization and how significant role it plays in teachers’ professional learning and career. Organizations providing capacity building opportunities and career development programs can greatly influence the performance of employees of that organization. This not only promises staff commitment and rigorous hard work from employees but also it yields to organization’s growth and development. Undeniably, its advantages and benefits are several and can be enjoyed by both employees as well as organizations. However, growth and development remains stagnant for those organizations not providing or failing to do so for their employees. With this, employees will not only feel de-motivated but, the level of organizational commitment will also be lower and might result in higher turnover in worse scenarios. Furthermore, the attributes and components of capacity building and organizational support for career development have been used to find out the impact upon employees’ performance specifically in schools among primary teachers. And it has been seen, that with presence of supportive working environment along with career growth plans within the organization has resultantly seen progressive growth and success. Hence, to find out the growth, this research study was conducted on over 150 teachers of primary schools based in Islamabad. This study was mainly focused on private schools to determine the results with the help of SPSS software. Moreover, data collection was done through questionnaires which were distributed in selected schools. The findings of the study hence, suggests that schools need to provide capacity building and career development opportunities as it is teachers demand and need for advancements in their career. In long term, this also promises quality education delivered to their students. In light of results and limitations of study, recommendations are given along with mentioning possible future avenues for further research en_US
