dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to analyze the role of mentoring in career advancement of teachers in universities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The research study provided a comprehensive review and studied the relationship of formal and informal mentoring with remuneration growth, promotion speed and professional ability. A sample of 155 teachers was selected from universities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Data was collected from the respondents and fed into statistical tool SPSS to apply different tests i.e. frequency distribution, descriptive statistics, regression analysis and correlation analysis. On the basis of results it is clearly observed that both variables formal and informal mentoring have a significant positive influence on all three dependent factors remuneration growth, promotion speed and professional ability. As a whole, the study has found a significant positive impact of mentoring on career advancement of teachers in the universities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi en_US
